Opening of the Draugu House

We invite you to the opening of the Draugu House, where you will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition Findings and attend the premiere of the film Konrāds Quarter: Rebirth.

At 5:00 p.m., the exhibition Findings will open in the Stone Hall of the Friends’ House Gallery at Konrāds Quarter. Curated by cultural heritage professional Gundars Kalniņš, the exhibition features archaeological artefacts discovered during the restoration of Konrāds Quarter. To present the objects from a different perspective, well-known public figures whose professional work is unrelated to archaeology were invited to help select the exhibits.

At 6:00 p.m., the film Konrāds Quarter: Rebirth will premiere. Directed by Jānis Vingris, the film documents the restoration of Konrāds Quarter over several years, beginning on its very first day. It features unique footage of the archaeological excavations, as well as conversations with architects, historians and local residents.
